We bought this 1999 Holden Astra City in Halswell, Christchurch, in November 2026. The silver 1.8 litre petrol hatchback with a four-speed automatic was complete, with the body intact.
How it went: the owner phoned us about the car. We sorted the details over the phone: a cash offer, the address, and a pickup time that the owner chose to suit them. Our driver collected the Astra from Halswell free of charge and paid on collection. No listing fee and no commission.
Do you buy older cars like a 1999 Holden? Yes. Holden stopped selling new cars in New Zealand in 2020, but plenty of Holdens are still on the road, and a complete older car is still worth buying. Age and kilometres are priced into the offer, and the car does not need to be in good mechanical order.
DEOL Car Solutions collects from Halswell and every other Christchurch suburb, often the same day or the next day. See how our free car removal works, or send your plate through the quote form.
